The first-aid kit
If you do The Way of St James or some similar travel with physical effort, you need bring in your bag a little first-aid kit with basic things, to heal a little wounds and injuries. Instruments and medicines recommend to this type of physical effort are:
- Scissors, gauzes, plaster, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, iodine and sticking-plaster; to disinfect and protect wounds.
- Some antidiarrheal, since the change of the water sometimes affects us producing diarrhoeas.
- Anty-inflammatory cream, just in case of we hit us.
- A cream for smarting and irritations, since due to the hot it is possible to produce it.
- A foot cream, since it will suffer during the walk and it is good to do a massage after a large physical effort.
- A needle or special sticking-plaster to dry blisters, since it is usual that appear when people walk all day.
- Painkiller (paracetamol or aspirin) to possible muscular pain.
- Sun cream, to avoid burns.
- Insect repellent.
- Moreover of medicines that you need in case of you follow some treatment.
These is basic needed to the Way of St James, it isn’t needed so much, since in each town you can find chemists where buy what you need.
